Super Eagles and Birmingham City right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel could be set for a potential return to Turkish football amid reports that Super Lig champions Galatasaray are weighing up the possibility of a move in the summer, Footynaija.com understands.
Osayi-Samuel’s future at Birmingham City has become the subject of transfer speculations in recent weeks following his sudden slump down the pecking order at the mid-table EFL Championship club.
The Nigeria international’s last appearance for Birmingham City came on March 2, in a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough. After that game, Osayi-Samuel faced plenty of criticism and since then, has not played a single minute of action in four games despite being fit.

Reports from Turkish news outlet Fanatik suggest that the lack of game time at City has left the explosive right-back looking to cut ties with his current employers and Galatasaray could swoop in and offer him an exit route.
The Turkish champions are understood to be looking at potential options to reinforce their squad ahead of the summer transfer window, and view Osayi-Samuel as a suitable candidate given his skillset and prior experience in the Super Lig.
Osayi-Samuel spent four and a half years at Gala’s Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce, making a total of 178 appearances across all competitions and winning the Turkish Cup before leaving for Birmingham City last summer.

That experience could certainly come in handy if Galatasaray firm up their interest but as things stand, there’s little to suggest this will be the case. As the summer window draws closer, it’ll be interesting to see how this particular situation unfolds.
