Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi missed the chance to match a special Serie A record as AC Milan claimed a tight 2-1 win over Pisa on Friday night, footynaija.com reports.
Before the match at the Stadio Romeo Anconetani, Durosinmi was just one goal or assist away from equalling a mark set by former Milan striker Olivier Giroud, who was involved in a goal in each of his first three home games in Serie A back in 2021.

The 23-year-old had started strongly since joining Pisa in January, scoring against Atalanta and setting up a goal versus Sassuolo. That meant he had played a part in two of Pisa’s three home goals this season.
However, he had little chance to add to that run against Milan. Durosinmi and fellow Nigerian Ebenezer Akinsanmiro both began on the bench as Milan took the lead in the first half through Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Pisa hit back after the break when Felipe Loyola scored to make it 1-1.
Milan soon went ahead again with a late winner, and Durosinmi only came on in the final minute to replace Loyola, leaving him with no time to change the match.

After the game, Pisa coach Oscar Hiljemark said his side paid for small mistakes but praised their defensive effort and improvement in play.
Durosinmi now has one goal and one assist in five league matches, while Akinsanmiro, on loan from Inter Milan, has made 14 appearances.
The result lifted Milan to second in the table, while Pisa remain bottom ahead of their next match away to Fiorentina on February 23.
