Wolfsburg are reportedly exploring the possibility of a late move for Super Eagles and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika with just a matter of hours left until the close of the winter transfer window, Footynaija.com reports.
Onyedika is continuing to attract interest from far a wide despite Club Brugge’s reluctance to part ways with the Nigeria international this month.
The Belgian Pro League side have already rebuffed an attempt from Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray to poach Onyedika from their ranks. Now they have to deal with this latest approach from Wolfsburg.

According to Sky Sport Germany reporter Patrick Berger, the Bundesliga outfit have opened discussions with Club Brugge as they push to land the highly talented Nigeria international.
Onyedika was keen on a Bundesliga move last summer amid strong interest from Eintracht Frankfurt but that move never materialized. Wolfsburg have now entered the race with sporting director Pirmin Schwegler involved in the process.
Having knocked back an offer from Galatasaray in January, Club Brugge are unlikely to seriously entertain talks of a potential sale except Wolfsburg match their asking price of €20 million.

While Onyedika may be keen on a move to the Bundesliga, his stance on joining Wolfsburg in particular remains unclear at this point. The 24-year-old midfielder would probably be looking to join a club that can offer him European football.
Onyedika has featured in 26 games across all competitions for Club Brugge this season, with two goals and an assist to his name. He current contract with the Belgian club runs until the summer of 2027.
