Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is fully focused on winning maximum points ahead of his return to former club Everton in the Premier League this weekend, Footynaija.com reports.
Iwobi joined Everton from boyhood club Arsenal in the summer of 2019 and spent four decent seasons with the Toffees. During his time at Merseyside, the Nigeria international made 140 appearances and registered 24 goal contributions before joining Fulham in 2023.

At Fulham, Iwobi has established himself as one of Marco Silva’s most trusted soldiers, making 89 appearances across all competitions and racking up 26 goal contributions for The Cottagers.
Speaking ahead of the weekend clash, the 29-year-old acknowledged that facing his former club carries a special emotion, but emphasized his determination to handle the game with professionalism.

“In life, sometimes you have to move on,” Iwobi said, as quoted by Everton News.
“I have some good memories of Goodison Park, but now I am looking to create new memories playing against them, and hopefully we can get a win.
“It always feels special to face a former team, but I will look to treat it like any other team. I try to treat all opponents the same way.”

Iwobi’s focused attitude ahead of his reunion with Everton is understandable, given Fulham’s recent struggles, having lost four of their last five Premier League matches.
The Cottagers will be eager to build on last weekend’s convincing 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers as they aim to regain momentum and climb out of the bottom half of the Premier League table.
