Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira believes Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare and his Norwegian teammate Jorgen Strand Larsen can form a potent strike partnership in the Premier League, Footynaija.com reports.
Pereira has alternated between Arokodare and Strand Larsen in attack so far this season but neither of the strikers have been able to produce the goods as they still await their first goal contributions in the Premier League.
The lack of effective firepower has had a telling impact on Wolves so far as they remain the only club without a win in the league after recording one draw and five defeats. This leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

In search of a solution to his team’s current challenges, Pereira mooted the possibility of having both strikers lead Wolves’ attack together while speaking at his pre-match conference ahead of facing Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
“I believe that we can play with both. But in this moment, Larsen is struggling with an injury because he’s not fully fit,” he said, per quotes on Wolves’ official website.
“The Larsen that you used to see; pressing, fighting, because he’s now with some pain and he’s struggling with injury, but he’s trying to help the team in this important moment, but he’s not at his best level.
“The pre-season of Tolu’s was a preseason without games, that’s because he was in a position where he could leave the club or stay, or leave, or stay or leave.
“When he first came and started to work with us, he was not ready to start a game, but we needed him, and we started with him in Newcastle.
“He tried his best, he scored a beautiful goal against Everton, but he is not yet in his best shape.”
Arokodare’s ability to find the back of the net is not in any doubt, given his recent track record from the Belgian Pro League. It’s now up to Wolves boss Pereira to devise a means to get the best out of the towering Nigerian striker.
Both Arokodare and Strand Larsen will be available for selection against Brighton tomorrow so it’ll be interesting to see how Pereira will choose to deploy his attacking options as Wolves seek their first Premier League win of the season.
