10. Bryan Idowu – 4 Goals

Bryan Idowu may be a left-back, but his 4 goals across 185 league appearances for Amkar Perm, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Khimki (2012–2023) underline his occasional attacking contributions. Known for his defensive solidity and versatility, Idowu’s longevity in the league makes him one of the most capped Nigerians in Russia.

9. Aaron Samuel Olanare, Lucky Isibor & Fegor Ogude – 5 Goals Each

Three Nigerians share this spot. Aaron Olanare scored 5 times across 29 league appearances for CSKA Moscow and Amkar Perm (2015–2018), often remembered for his physicality in attack.

Lucky Isibor, a forward of the late 1990s, also bagged 5 goals in 52 games for Dynamo Moscow between 1996 and 1998, becoming one of the pioneering Nigerians in the Russian league.

Meanwhile, Fegor Ogude, a defensive midfielder, added 5 goals in 116 appearances for Amkar Perm and Yenisey Krasnoyarsk (2018–2019). While scoring wasn’t his main role, Ogude’s work rate and leadership made him a respected figure.

8. Kehinde Fatai & Moses David Cobnan – 6 Goals Each

Kehinde Fatai scored 6 goals in 41 league appearances for Ufa (2015–2017), showing flashes of his sharp finishing. On the other hand, young forward Moses Cobnan, still only 22, has also netted 6 times in 47 appearances for FC Krasnodar (2023–present). With his best years ahead, Cobnan has every chance to climb higher up this list.

7. Victor Moses – 9 Goals

Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses enjoyed a fruitful spell at Spartak Moscow (2020–2024), where he scored 9 goals in 70 appearances. Deployed on the right wing, Moses brought pace, skill, and valuable experience, quickly becoming a fan favourite at the Otkritie Arena.

6. Chidera Ejuke – 10 Goals

One of Nigeria’s brightest attacking midfielders of recent years, Chidera Ejuke scored 10 goals in 55 league appearances for CSKA Moscow (2020–2022). Known for his dribbling flair and ability to unlock defences, Ejuke left an impression in Moscow before moving on to other European adventures.

5. Olakunle Olusegun – 11 Goals

Still only 23, Olakunle Olusegun has already netted 11 times in 83 appearances across stints with FC Krasnodar and another club (2021–present). A left winger with pace and directness, Olusegun continues to grow, and with more seasons ahead, he looks poised to rise higher on this list.

4. James Obiorah – 20 Goals

A member of Nigeria’s 2002 World Cup squad, James Obiorah scored 20 goals in 63 Russian league appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow (2001–2003). Strong, versatile, and clinical when called upon, Obiorah remains one of the early Nigerian strikers to shine in Russia.

3. Emmanuel Emenike & Peter Odemwingie – 21 Goals Each

Two Nigerian forwards share this spot with identical tallies. Emmanuel Emenike scored 21 goals in 42 Russian Premier League matches for Spartak Moscow (2011–2013), where his powerful runs and lethal finishing made him a menace for defenders.

Peter Odemwingie, another household name, also netted 21 goals but across 75 appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow (2007–2010). His versatility and knack for decisive goals cemented his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most reliable exports to Russia.

2. Sylvester Emeka Igboun – 29 Goals

The Nigerian striker, popularly known as Sly, left his mark with 29 goals in 158 appearances across seven seasons for Ufa, Dinamo Moscow, and Nizhny Novgorod (2000s–2010s). Though never the flashiest, his consistency and durability ensured he remained a trusted forward option year after year.

1. Ahmed Musa – 48 Goals

Sitting comfortably at the top is Ahmed Musa, who struck 48 times in 135 Russian Premier League appearances for CSKA Moscow (2012–2016, 2018). Renowned for his explosive pace and direct attacking style, Musa was a nightmare for defenders and a fan favourite in Moscow.

His performances earned him legendary status both in Russia and among Super Eagles fans, especially after starring at two FIFA World Cups during his time in Europe.
