AC Milan are in advanced discussions to secure the signing of Nigeria international Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, with the move gathering momentum in recent days, Footynaija.com reports.
German outlet Sky Sport reports that the Rossoneri lodged an official bid within the last 48 hours, with Leverkusen currently weighing the offer.
Negotiations are said to be progressing positively, with Milan’s sporting director Igli Tare leading talks in a bid to finalise the transfer swiftly.

Boniface, who has been a key figure for Nigeria in recent months, had previously insisted, alongside his agent Atta Aneke, that he would remain in Germany for the 2025–26 campaign.

The 24-year-old offers flexibility in attack, capable of leading the line as a traditional striker or drifting wide to support from the flanks. Despite being contracted at Leverkusen until 2028, his position has been weakened under new coach Erik ten Hag, who has opted to prioritise Patrick Schick following the Czech forward’s contract renewal.
That shift was made even more clear when Boniface was left on the bench and unused in Leverkusen’s emphatic 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over SG Sonnenhof Großaspach last week.
All sides now appear confident that an agreement will be reached, paving the way for Boniface to begin a new chapter in Italy.
