Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and Africa’s reigning Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman have been honoured with plots of land in Abuja by Jedo Investment Company Ltd, Footynaija.com reports.
Each athlete received a 400-square-metre plot within the Jedo Mega Estate in Ushafa, a prestigious development in Nigeria’s capital. The property gifts, according to Jedo, were awarded to celebrate the players’ excellence and global representation of Nigerian football.
In a letter signed by Anthony Onwuma, the firm’s General Manager for Human and Business Relations, Nnadozie was hailed for her commanding display during the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
“Your efforts not only helped secure the championship but also served as a shining example of dedication and excellence for millions of Nigerians and football lovers around the world,” the letter read.
Lookman, who enjoyed a stellar season with Atalanta and was crowned CAF’s Best African Player in December, also received high praise from the company:
“Your outstanding performance, resilience, and excellence on the pitch have not only brought immense pride to Nigeria but have also cemented your position as one of the finest in the world today.”
Both stars have now been named official Brand Ambassadors for Jedo Investment Company.
Meanwhile, Lookman is attracting significant interest in the transfer market, with Inter Milan reportedly tabling a €40 million offer — plus €5 million in add-ons — to lure him from Serie A rivals Atalanta.
No agreement has been reached yet between the two clubs but the Nigerian international is believed to be keen on a move to Inter.
