Super Eagles defender Ola Aina had some nice words for Nottingham Forest teammate Morgan Gibbs-White despite ongoing speculations linking the England international with a potential exit from The City Ground this summer, Footynaija.com reports.
Morgan Gibbs-White has been a sensational revelation in the Premier League ever since his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Nottingham Forest back in the 2022 summer transfer window.
After swapping the Molineux for The City Ground three years ago, the talented attacking midfielder has racked up 118 appearances across all competitions, notching 18 goals and providing 26 assists for the Tricky Trees.

His exploits at Nottingham Forest have not gone unnoticed, with a number of top Premier League teams, namely Tottenham Hotspur and perennial winners Manchester City reportedly interested in securing his services.
While Gibbs-White remains a Forest player at the moment, there remains the possibility of an exit this summer. If the English midfielder eventually moves, he’s likely to enter the black book of some of The City Ground faithful.
Nevertheless, Aina, who has enjoyed the last couple of seasons playing alongside Gibbs-White, believes that the England international’s legacy at the club is secure regardless of what transpires in the transfer market.

“Never. I don’t think it would be forgotten. He’s a terrific player and his football speaks for itself,” Aina said in quotes revealed by Nottinghamshire Live.
“Of course I would (want him to stay). But I don’t know what’s going on. You’d have to ask Morgan. We have a bit of banter about stuff like that! But it’s that person’s business.”

While Gibbs-White’s future remains uncertain, Aina has committed himself to the project at Nottingham Forest for the next couple of years. The former Chelsea man will be hoping to enjoy another fantastic campaign at The City Ground.
