Electric Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has penned an emotional farewell message to FC Nantes following the completion of his transfer to newly promoted Ligue 1 club, Paris FC, Footynaija.com reports.

Simon spent the last six years of his career at Nantes, a club he joined from La Liga side Levante in the summer of 2019. During his time at the club, he proved to be a vital player, becoming one of the club’s more reliable sources of attacking output.

The Nigeria international posted a total of 76 goal contributions (37G, 39A) in 201 appearances across all competitions for Nantes and was their biggest contributor in the final third last season with eight goals and ten assists to his name.

Just like the popular phrase “everything that has a beginning must have an end,” Simon’s time at Stade de la Beaujoire has come to an end, with the 29-year-old winger set to take his talents to Ligue 1 newcomers Paris FC.

In an emotional farewell message posted via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Simon expressed gratitude to Nantes FC the many good memories made together over their six-year association.

“Six seasons to give everything with the heart. Sprints, centers, chills … and engraved memories,” Simon wrote on his official X account.

“Thank you FC Nantes, thank you Beaujoire. I leave with pride and a piece of this club in the heart.”

Having made a huge level of attacking impact for Les Canaries over the years, Simon will now be looking to replicate and perhaps even surpass that level of impact at his new club when the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 campaign kicks off later this year.
