AC Milan have entered the race to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, following the departure of Dutch star Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City, Footynaija.com reports.
The Rossoneri confirmed Reijnders’s £46.5 million move to City on 11 June 2025, leaving a sizable vacancy in midfield.
Reijnders, honoured at the end of last season as both a Serie A All‑Star and the league’s Best Midfielder, penned a five‑year deal with the Premier League champions.
As a result, Milan are now seeking a high‑quality replacement — and Onyedika has emerged as a prime candidate.

At 24, Onyedika has impressed domestically with Club Brugge and on the European stage, notably in the Champions League and with Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Serie A, Premier League and Portuguese sides alike have taken notice.
According to Transferfeed via Walfoot, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have already joined Milan in the hunt.
Under contract until 2027, Onyedika is thought to carry a market value of around €20 million.
Brugge have reportedly prepared for his exit by lining up Hamburg’s midfield talent Ludovit Reis as a potential replacement. Other high‑profile names — including Ferran Jutglà, Maxim De Cuyper and Christos Tzolis — are also expected to depart this summer amid a flurry of transfer activity.
