Chelsea are on the verge of completing the record-breaking signing of Nigerian-born Polish youth international Bright Ede from Motor Lublin, with final talks scheduled for next week, Footynaija.com reports.
According to Tomasz Włodarczyk of Meczyki.pl, negotiations between Chelsea and the Polish club have reached the final stage, with the Premier League giants ready to pay a fee that surpasses previous Ekstraklasa transfer records.
The current record stands at €11m, previously held by deals involving Jakub Moder, Kacper Kozłowski, and Ante Crnac.
The 18-year-old centre-back of Nigerian descent, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, is expected to sign for Chelsea before the end of June.

Arsenal have been following Bright Ede from Motor Lublin for weeks.
The 18-year old CB is generating a lot of interest in Europe.
Especially in Premier League clubs.

However, he will be immediately loaned out to French outfit Strasbourg to gain top-level experience in Ligue 1.
Despite making just six appearances and scoring once for Motor Lublin, Ede has left a strong impression on scouts from England. His rapid rise has left former club Zagłębie Lubin rueful, having sold him last summer for just €100,000.
