Terem Moffi marked his long-awaited return to the scoresheet in emphatic fashion, netting his first goal in 388 days as Nice stormed to a 6-0 demolition of Brest to secure Champions League football for next season, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian striker, who had been sidelined for over eight months with an ACL injury, came off the bench in the 78th minute and needed just four minutes to make his mark — slotting home Nice’s fifth goal of the night to cap a dominant display.

It was Moffi’s first goal since April 2023 and a significant personal milestone after a frustrating spell of injury and recovery. He had only managed 33 minutes of action since his March comeback, with the club easing him back into full fitness.

Nice were ruthless from the outset at the Allianz Riviera. Early goals from Evann Guessand and Gaëtan Laborde put them in control before Badredine Bouanani added a third from the spot before half-time.

Laborde grabbed his second on 75 minutes before Moffi and Ali Abdi completed the rout — Nice’s biggest win since their 8-0 thrashing of Saint-Étienne last September.

The victory saw Nice finish fourth in Ligue 1 with 60 points, earning a place in the third qualifying round of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.

Moffi, 25, has now scored 52 goals and provided 11 assists in 138 Ligue 1 appearances. He joined Nice permanently in July 2023 after a successful loan spell, having previously made his mark at Lorient.
