Hafiz Umar Ibrahim was born on December 20, 2005, and grew up in the city of Kano in northern Nigeria. To support his family, he helped out by selling watermelons in the market.
He began his football career with Lagos-based amateur club Ojodu City FC, where his natural goalscoring instinct and raw attacking qualities quickly stood out.
