Moses Simon stepped up once again as Nantes grabbed a 2-1 win over Nice at the Allianz Riviera, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian winger set the tone early with an assist and kept causing problems for the home side all evening, helping Nantes bag three valuable points on the road.
In just the 11th minute, Simon set up an assist perfectly by laying the ball off for Douglas Augusto, who fired a brilliant left-footed shot from outside the box into the top corner to give Nantes the lead.

But Nice did not take long to reply. Three minutes later, Hicham Boudaoui set up Adam Abdi, who smashed home the equaliser to bring the home fans back to life.
Nantes were not done, though. Before the break, in the 38th minute, following a corner, Matthis Abline shot from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal to make it 2-1. The goal turned out to be the winner, as Nantes managed the game well after that and kept their lead until full-time.
For Simon, it was another big contribution in what has been a solid season. His assist against Nice takes him to 9 for the season, along with 7 goals in 27 Ligue 1 matches.
Those 9 assists make the Super Eagles player the second-best provider in the French Ligue 1 right now, just behind Bradley Barcola.
The win comes at a good time for Nantes, giving them some breathing space in the table. With these three points, they move further clear of the relegation zone and can start looking up towards mid-table.
Nantes will hope to carry this momentum into their next fixtures, with Simon continuing to play a huge part in their push.
