Galatasaray, via club reporter Yakup Cinar, have revealed whether or not Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will be fit to feature in the upcoming derby clash with Besiktas Istanbul, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen is fresh off representing Nigeria at the ongoing CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Napoli loanee replicated his mesmerizing goal-scoring form for the Super Eagles, bagging a brace in their 2-0 win over Rwanda before netting Nigeria’s only goal in a frustrating 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe.
While in action against the Warriors, the 25-year-old striker appeared to be in some kind of discomfort in the closing stages. His subsequent substitution fueled speculations of a possible injury setback, creating doubts about his potential availability for Galatasaray’s Super Lig clash with Besiktas.

However, according to Cinar, who spoke in the Radio Gol Broadcast, Osimhen did not suffer any major injury concerns on international duty and the unstoppable Nigerian striker will be ready to contribute when Gala pull up to the Tupras Stadyumu on Saturday, March 29 if permitted by the medical board.
” I have received information that Osimhen and Davinson Sanchez are fit to play in the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray derby,” Cinar said in quotes revealed by habersarikirmizi.com.
“However, the final decision will be made by the medical board. Yunus Akgün is also ready to play in the derby.”
Before the international break, Osimhen was in superb goal-scoring form for the Turkish Super Lig pace setters. His current tally stands at 20 goals in 22 Super Lig appearances and he’ll be looking to add to those numbers as Galatasaray continue their charge towards a 25th top-flight crown.
