Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly preparing a major bid for Victor Osimhen and could make him the centerpiece of their summer transfer plans, Footynaija reports.
The Nigerian striker has been on PSG’s radar for over a year, but coach Luis Enrique previously blocked the transfer. It is understood that the French coach had concerns about Osimhen’s temperament and felt he already had an alternative in Gonçalo Ramos.
According to Fichajes, Enrique has now reversed his position and identified Osimhen as the“dream signing” to lead the attack.
PSG tried to sign Osimhen from Napoli last two summers, agreeing personal terms worth €12 million per year, but they refused to meet his €130 million release clause.
He ended up joining Galatasaray on loan before completing a permanent transfer for €75 million in July 2025, signing a four-year deal that runs until 2029.
The 2023 African Player of the Year has been excellent in Turkey. He has nine goals in 16 league appearances, and nine of goals in seven Champions League matches this season.
The financial side will not be a problem for PSG. They have far greater resources than Barcelona and Bayern Munich, who are also tracking Osimhen. With Enrique now on board, the club is in a position to make an offer that Galatasaray would find difficult to refuse.
Osimhen earns around €21 million per year at Galatasaray, and the richest club in France PSG can easily match or exceed that.
It may be challenging for the Turkish champions who signed the striker for a record fee, though. They view him as a long-term asset and the 27-year-old has been vocal about his love for the club. Turkish sources claim they will not entertain any offer below €140 million.
