Frank Onyeka shines on Coventry debut as Wright hat-trick sinks Middlesbrough

Onyeka’s display was built on energy, smart positioning and strong defensive work. He regularly broke up play, recovered loose balls and battled well in midfield duels, helping Coventry regain control whenever Middlesbrough tried to push forward. When he was withdrawn midway through the second half, the home crowd rose to applaud, a warm welcome for a player already making an impact.

The American forward struck three times in a clinical display. He opened the scoring in the first half after a clever cut-back from Jack Rudoni, before doubling the lead early after the break with a composed finish following a long kick forward.
