Nigeria and Marseille legend Taye Taiwo has sent a powerful three-word message to Super Eagles new boy Tochukwu Nnadi after he secured a deadline day move to the Ligue 1 outfit this winter, Footynaija.com reports.
Nnadi will be the fifth Nigerian to fly Marseille’s colours in the French top flight after Roberto Di Zerbi’s side forked out a €6 million transfer fee to secure his services from Belgian Pro League side Zulte Waregem.
After completing the deal, Marseille posted a video of the Nigerian midfielder’s arrival on their official Instagram page, generating a lot of positive reactions from both fans of the club and well wishers.

Among the well wishers was former Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo, who enjoyed great success during his six-year spell at Marseille. Reacting to the video, he simply replied “Go smash it” in the comment section of the post.

Nnadi’s progress over the last 12 months has been remarkable, with the 22-year-old defensive midfielder establishing himself as one of Zulte Waregem’s top performers after arriving from Botev Plovdiv back in January 2024.
His run of impressive displays in the middle of the park boosted his reputation across Europe with the youngster duly earning a call-up to the Nigerian national team and making it into the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite being fully fit, Nnadi will have to bide his time before making his Marseille debut. The midfielder missed out on a place in the provisional squad for Tuesday’s encounter with Rennes after his arrival came too late for registration.
