Samuel Chukwueze is set for a transfer decision after a season‑long loan from AC Milan to Fulham in the English Premier League, Footynaija.com reports.
The 26‑year‑old Nigerian wide forward, who joined Fulham with an option to buy worth around €25 million, has shown enough quality in West London that Fulham are considering making the move permanent.
Chukwueze left Milan on September 1, 2025, signing a loan contract that includes the possibility of a permanent switch at the end of the 2025–26 season. He linked up at Craven Cottage with fellow Super Eagles internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
Since his arrival, the former Villarreal winger has contributed 3 goals and 4 assists in Premier League action, and those performances have prompted Fulham’s leadership to weigh up activating the purchase clause at season’s end.
A recent report by La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed that the Italian club are also preparing for his departure.
Fulham manager Marco Silva, as of early December, however said no formal negotiations for a permanent transfer had been on between the two clubs.
At Milan, Chukwueze’s situation before the loan was defined by limited playing time under several managers, which led to a lack of starts and repeated questions over his future at the club.
He had been unable to secure a regular spot in the Rossoneri’s first team since joining from Villarreal in 2023, featuring mostly off the bench across 70 appearances.
In interviews since moving to England, Chukwueze, who recently lost his mother, said he felt he did not get enough chances at Milan to prove himself. He still considers Milan his team and misses life there.
