Atalanta have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of Ademola Lookman, though the Super Eagles forward has not yet confirmed his decision, Footynaija.com reports.
The agreement between the two clubs reportedly values Lookman at close to €40 million, including add-ons. Negotiations followed earlier interest from Fenerbahce, whose proposed deal failed over payment and guarantee terms.
The former Leicester City and Everton player remains under contract with the Serie A club until June 2027, leaving the completion of the move dependent on his response.

Atletico Madrid have continued discussions in the final days of the January window, while Atalanta have emphasised that any transfer must meet their financial requirements.
Lookman has played regularly for Atalanta this season, contributing goals and assists in both Serie A and Champions League fixtures. He has appeared across the forward line, primarily on the wings or as a second striker.
The club has retained him in the squad for domestic and European competitions while discussions over his future have progressed.
His career has included spells on loan at Fulham and Leicester City, before a permanent move to Atalanta in 2022. Lookman was part of the Atalanta team that won the 2024 Europa League, scoring a hat-trick in the final, and received the African Footballer of the Year award the same year.
Fenerbahce had proposed a package of around €7 million in salary and €2 million in bonuses, but talks has yet to reach a resolution. Atletico Madrid have remained the leading contender for the forward’s services. Club officials have reportedly indicated that the transfer can proceed if Lookman accepts their terms.
