Alanyaspor are finalising arrangements to transfer Nigerian forward Uchenna Ogundu to Bundesliga side FC Augsburg, Footynaija.com reports.
Ogundu moved to Alanyaspor after one season in Turkey’s second division with Şanlıurfaspor. In the 2024/25 campaign, he played 19 league matches, scoring six goals and contributing two assists.
His performance earned him a place in the top-flight side, where he has made 17 appearances so far in 2025/26, scoring twice and providing two assists. He has accumulated over 900 minutes in league and cup competitions.

The 19-year-old has been part of the Turkish club’s first team since July 2025, appearing regularly in the Süper Lig while operating both as a central forward and on the wing.
Recent reports reveal that Augsburg are preparing medical checks and paperwork to complete the move.
The forward developed at Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria before moving abroad. At 19, he has experience in two tiers of Turkish football, adapting to different roles in attack.
His height and pace have allowed him to contest aerial challenges while maintaining mobility in the final third. His record at Alanyaspor shows involvement in build-up play and the ability to finish chances when introduced late in matches.
Augsburg are known to recruit young Nigerian players, including Super Eagles star Frank Onyeka who joined the club in 2024 on a season-long long loan. Ogundu is set to join a cohort that now includes the compatriots.
Negotiations with Alanyaspor have progressed to an agreement in principle, with formal confirmation expected once medicals and contracts are completed.
