Super Eagles-eligible striker German Onugkha showed his top quality in the Turkish Super Lig with a fine brace in Kayserispor’s 2-2 draw at Fatih Karagümrük on Friday, Footynaija.com reports.
Sam Larsson opened the scoring for Karagümrük from the spot in the 16th minute, but Onugkha struck twice in quick succession, in the 68th and 74th minutes, to put Kayserispor ahead.
Their lead was short-lived, however, as Atakan Cankaya equalised for the hosts before Laszlo Benes saw red late on, forcing a share of the spoils.

Despite registering eight shots on target to Karagümrük’s three, Kayserispor remain winless after seven league games, with four draws and three defeats.
Onugkha’s double takes his tally to three goals in six matches, including back-to-back scoring appearances.
Born in Moscow to a Russian mother and a Nigerian father, Onugkha has made clear his desire to represent Nigeria, having rejected a Russia call-up last year.

“I decided to say no [to Russia’s call-up] because I wanted to focus on my next club, my future,” he said last year.
“During the next month I will try to get a Nigerian passport because my father is from there.”
With Nigeria’s strikers battling for form and fitness, Onugkha’s performances could yet earn him a long-awaited Super Eagles debut.
Nigeria will trade tackles with Gabon next month in a World Cup playoff next month.
