Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric heaped praise on Ademola Lookman after the Super Eagles forward netted a vital goal in La Dea’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan in Serie A on Tuesday night, Footynaija.com reports.
Lookman struck in the 35th minute to cancel out Samuele Ricci’s early opener, ensuring Atalanta maintained their unbeaten start to the 25/26 Serie A campaign while also ending his wait for a first goal contribution of the season.
Speaking at a post-match interview after the game, Juric lauded Lookman’s attitude and quality, admitting the forward had been pushed hard in recent weeks.

“I think we pushed him (Lookman) to play more than perhaps he should’ve done in these games because we wanted him to achieve match fitness,” Juric told DAZN Italia.
“He is a particular type of guy, but in training and on the pitch, he is a sight to behold, just a spectacular player.
“A winner, with incredible determination, and I am very happy for him. We were only talking yesterday. He said if he trains like this, the goal will come, and today he scored a great goal.”

Lookman, meanwhile, expressed relief after finally finding the back of the net, acknowledging he still has work to do to regain that devastating edge Atalanta fans have become accustomed to watching him provide for the team’s attack.
The draw lifted Atalanta from eighth to seventh in the Serie A standings. Juric’s men now turn their attention to this weekend’s clash with Udinese, where Lookman will aim to help end La Dea’s run of five consecutive draws with a much-needed victory.
