West Ham United have reportedly begun negotiations to try and land highly-rated Super Eagles and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika ahead of the 2025/2026 Premier League season, Footynaija.com reports.
Since joining Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2022, Onyedika has continued to grow in stature. The Nigerian midfielder has become an integral part of the team, consistently delivering impressive performances that have caught the attention of several top European clubs.
Onyedika featured in 52 matches during the recently concluded season, making significant contributions, including four goal involvements as Brugge narrowly missed out on successfully defending their Pro League crown.

His consistent displays have firmly placed him on the radar of top teams across the continent including West Ham United, who have had a longstanding interest in the Nigeria international particularly since the appointment of Graham Potter as manager.
As per reports from TBR Football, The Hammers are aiming to strengthen their midfield this summer and have identified Onyedika as a potential target. The Nigerian midfielder is viewed as a possible ideal replacement for Czech international Tomas Soucek, who may be set to leave the club in this summer’s transfer window.
West Ham United are boosted by the 24-year-old’s willingness to make the move to London at this point in his career. With just two years remaining on his current contract, Club Brugge may be inclined to cash in now rather than risk a decline in his market value next summer, when he will have just one year left on his deal.

With rival interest from the Serie A as AC Milan have also been touted as potential suitors, The Hammer will be looking to move very quickly in their discussions with Club Brugge.
