Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted once again for the D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season award in France, following another standout campaign with Paris FC, Footynaija.com reports.

The 24-year-old, who won the prestigious award last season, is in contention for the 2024–25 honour alongside Lyon’s Christiane Endler and England’s Mary Earps, now with Paris Saint-Germain.

Nnadozie has kept 11 clean sheets so far this season — a figure only bettered by Endler’s 13.

Last year, Nnadozie claimed the award ahead of Endler, Constance Picaud of PSG, and Kinga Szemik of Reims despite having fewer clean sheets. She was also named in the Team of the Year, the only Paris FC and Nigerian player to make the elite list.

However, Nnadozie’s celebrations have been tempered by a recent injury scare.

She was stretchered off during Paris FC’s 4-0 home win against Fleury 91 after a heavy challenge by Inès Konan in the 77th minute.

I am incredibly grateful and honored to receive this https://t.co/Mh668LoXOk is truly humbling and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the organizers and also everyone involved. Your encouragement and support has been instrumental in my success❤️ pic.twitter.com/mVaZMssVVw

Although Konan only received a yellow card, Nnadozie had to be replaced by French goalkeeper Inès Marques after receiving on-field treatment.

Her exit came after helping her side to a commanding lead, with goals from Clara Matéo (2), Kaja Korošec and Kessya Bussy securing Paris FC’s 13th league win of the campaign.

Nnadozie’s condition remains unclear, but both Paris FC and Nigeria will be hoping for good news ahead of the Coupe de France Féminine final against PSG on May 3, and more crucially, the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July.

Nigeria are drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana as they aim to reclaim the continental crown they last won in 2018.
