Real Madrid bounced back in style from consecutive defeats to Barcelona and AC Milan with a commanding 4-0 win against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Vinicius Junior was the standout star, netting a hat-trick as Carlo Ancelotti’s side eased the pressure and closed the gap on league leaders Barcelona.

Madrid got off to a mixed start in the first half, suffering the setbacks of losing both Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao to injury.

The latter’s injury could be severe, with initial reports suggesting a possible ACL rupture—a repeat of the Brazilian defender’s setback from last season.

However, the mood shifted positively in the 34th minute when Vinicius Jr. opened the scoring, giving Madrid a crucial early lead.

Just before halftime, Jude Bellingham broke his scoring drought in style.

The Englishman latched onto a precise, lofted pass from substitute Raul Asencio, who had replaced the injured Militao. With superb control, Bellingham executed a well-placed lob over Osasuna’s goalkeeper Sergio Herrera, securing his first goal of the season and putting Madrid in full control.

The second half saw Vinicius continue his inspired form, as he added two more goals within a ten-minute span.

The Brazilian demonstrated his versatility, first converting a clever pass from goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and then completing his hat-trick after an assist from Brahim Diaz.

This resounding win sees Real Madrid pull within six points of Barcelona in La Liga, though the Catalan giants have a chance to widen their lead if they triumph over Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Madrid’s next match will take them away to Leganes on November 24, where they will aim to maintain their momentum post-international break.
