Jose Mourinho, never one to shy away from controversy, was booked for a unique protest involving a laptop during Fenerbahce’s 2-0 win over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, Soccernet.football reports.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager caused a stir when he disagreed with the disallowing of Edin Dzeko’s goal for offside and decided to take matters into his own hands — literally.

Mourinho, now in charge of Fenerbahce, picked up a laptop and placed it directly in front of the television cameras, apparently trying to prove that the match officials had made an incorrect call.

The bold protest resulted in the referee booking the Portuguese coach, but it did little to halt his team’s momentum as they secured a solid 2-0 victory.

Fenerbahce’s win sees them move to second place in the Turkish Super Lig with 16 points from seven games, just three points behind unbeaten leaders Galatasaray.

Mourinho’s antics are only the latest in a string of controversies since his arrival in Turkey, having already been fined for missing a press conference earlier this season.

Despite the disallowed goal, Mourinho’s side managed to dominate the match and continue their strong start to the season.

As the coach continues to challenge the football authorities, his focus now shifts to Thursday’s Europa League clash against FC Twente, followed by a return to domestic action against Samsunspor next weekend.

Fenerbahce fans will be hoping Mourinho’s touchline antics don’t overshadow his ambition to lead the team to Super Lig glory in his debut season.

The Special One remains as unpredictable as ever, both in his tactics and behaviour.
