PSG dream XI for the 2024/2025 season-From Konate to Osimhen
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to rejig their front line this summer following the exit of talisman Kylian Mbappe after the expiration of his contract and they have been linked with a number of targets, although they are yet to complete any signings.

The Ligue 1 champions already boast a strong squad, capable of dominating domestically but they will need to make some additions in key areas to enable them also compete successfully in the UEFA Champions League.

Soccernet.football takes a look at how Luis Enrique’s side could line up in the coming season if all goes according to plan in the transfer market.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK)

Since swapping Milan for Paris, the Italian has grown into one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the world, with his remarkable reflexes and commanding presence within the area. We expect Donnarumma to remain PSG’s number choice between the sticks come the start of the new season.

Achraf Hakimi (RB)

The Morocco international was invaluable for Les Parisiens as they marched to Ligue 1 glory last season and he is set to retain his place in Enrique’s starting lineup as a result. Hakimi’s ability to contribute in the final third by providing extra width with his overlapping runs makes him such an asset to PSG.

Ibrahima Konate (CB)

Konate was sidelined for the majority of last season through injury with Liverpool academy graduate Jarell Quansah stepping up and doing incredibly well in his absence. PSG have been credited with interest in the 25-year-old and many fans have indicated their desire to see him at the Parc des Princes. However, it remains to be seen whether the French side will be able to secure his signature.

Lucas Hernandez (CB)

The former Bayern Munich defender was solid for the Ligue 1 champions last season and his performances in central defense for a largely underwhelming France team at the European Championships didn’t leave much to be desired either. A potential defensive partnership with fellow countryman Konate is an exciting prospect we’re sure many PSG fans want to see.

Nuno Mendes (LB)

The massively talented Portuguese has rapidly developed into one of the most promising left-backs across Europe. After a decent outing with Portugal at the Euros, we expect to see the 22-year-old bursting down the left flank for Paris Saint-Germain come the 2024/2025 campaign.

Joao Neves (DM)

The teenage sensation is one of the most sought after players in Europe and the French champions are reportedly leading the charge for his signature ahead of next season. Neves’ intelligence and positional awareness make him adept at intercepting passes and initiating counter-attacks. Also, his ability to distribute the ball effectively can help PSG transition from defense to attack seamlessly.

Warren Zaire-Emery (CM)

Zaire-Emery represents the future of Paris Saint-Germain’s midfield. As a central midfielder, his energy and vision make him a dynamic presence in the middle of the park. His ability to drive forward with the ball and link up play with teammates will be crucial in breaking down stubborn opposition defenses in the coming season.

Vitinha (CM)

Vitinha’s creativity and flair make him a crucial member  of Enrique’s midfield setup. Known for his dribbling ability and vision, the Portuguese excels in finding pockets of space and delivering key passes. His ability to feature in different positions in the middle of the park also make him an inevitable presence in this XI.

Lamine Yamal (RW)

It is largely expected that the Spanish prodigy will remain at Barcelona for years to come but in football, you never know. According to reports, PSG are willing to make a €250m bid for the 17-year-old’s signature and while it may be a long stretch, the addition of Yamal to Enrique’s front line would be absolutely incredible for the PSG faithful.

Rafael Leao (LW)

Leao was arguably AC Milan’s best player last season but his performances for Portugal at the Euros in Germany were not nearly as impressive. However, his talent is undeniable and he would certainly make a fantastic addition to the existing array of firepower at the Parc des Princes.

Victor Osimhen (CF)

Up top is Osimhen, one of the most prolific strikers across Europe. His pace, power and ruthlessness in front of goal make him every defender’s nightmare which is why he would be the ideal candidate to fill the void left by Mbappe. The Nigeria international looks set to leave Napoli this summer with PSG as his most likely destination but his hefty release clause is one obstacle that will need crossing.
