Sergio Aguero has made a bold claim, suggesting that Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are strong enough to win the Premier League, Soccernet.football reports.

Since joining Inter Miami from PSG, Messi has made a huge impact in Major League Soccer (MLS). Last season, he helped his team win their first major trophy, the Leagues Cup.

This season, he has led them to the top of the Eastern Conference, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in just 12 games.

Messi, who won ten La Liga titles with Barcelona and two Ligue 1 titles with PSG, has continued his impressive form in the United States.

His performances have prompted Aguero, his close friend and former Argentina teammate, to speculate on how Inter Miami would fare in the Premier League.

Aguero, who won five Premier League titles with Manchester City, told Stake.com as per Goal, “I think they would win the league. They have Messi, the GOAT, and with him, even winning the Premier (League) is possible.”

Messi is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He won his eighth Ballon d’Or last year, beating out players like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

This summer, Messi will aim for more success with world champions Argentina at the Copa America, starting their campaign against Canada on Thursday.
