Dominik Szoboszlai, captain of the Hungarian national team, has added another feather to his cap by joining forces with McDonald’s, a global giant, following his recent contract signing with Telekom, soccernet.football reports.

As revealed in a Facebook announcement by McDonald’s, the Liverpool star, currently gearing up for the European Championship in Germany, has stepped into the limelight as the face of the company’s latest advertising blitz.

A snapshot shared on Facebook hints that Liverpool’s Hungarian maestro will grace the forthcoming McDonald’s ad campaign.

Despite making 42 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool this season and clinching the EFL Cup, Szoboszlai and his team, under the stewardship of departing manager Jürgen Klopp, faced a downturn in form this spring.

Knocked out of the FA Cup and UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, Liverpool find themselves trailing in the Premier League title race, currently five points adrift of league leaders Arsenal and four points behind second-placed Manchester City.

It is evident that major corporations are revving up their marketing engines for the upcoming European Championship in Germany this summer, where the Hungarian national team will compete in Group A.

Under the guidance of manager Marco Rossi, the Hungarian squad kicks off their campaign against Switzerland in Cologne on June 15, followed by a clash with hosts Germany in Stuttgart on June 19, and a showdown against Scotland on June 23. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

The European Championship in Germany is slated to run from June 14 to July 14, spanning ten cities across the nation: Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Cologne, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Leipzig, and Gelsenkirchen, with the grand finale set to unfold at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
