Cristiano Ronaldo has shared an unusual habit that helps him stay fit and healthy as he aims to prolong his football career, Soccernet.football reports.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He has won five Ballon d’Or awards, three UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Awards, and four European Golden Shoes. He has also won 33 trophies, including seven league titles and five UEFA Champions Leagues.

Ronaldo holds records for the most appearances, goals, and assists in the Champions League, and he is the top scorer in European Championship history. He has scored 128 international goals and made 206 international appearances, the most in both categories.

At 39, Ronaldo shows no signs of stopping. Bayer Leverkusen is interested in bringing him back to Europe, while his current club, Al Nassr, wants to extend his contract. He has scored 13 goals in 10 games this year and 42 goals in 41 games this season.

Ronaldo attributes his longevity to several personalized habits. In an interview as per Sportbild, the former Real Madrid striker revealed, “I don’t speak after ten or eleven o’clock in the evening. Not even on the phone. I don’t like talking at night either because of my brain. So don’t call me after ten o’clock!”

Ronaldo also sleeps in five 90-minute phases instead of the usual eight hours, eats six smaller, protein-rich meals instead of two or three larger ones, and avoids screens for 1.5 hours before bed. Additionally, he always steps onto the pitch with his right foot first.

He emphasized the importance of dedication: “As a footballer, you need total dedication. It’s not just the two hours of training. I live for my football career. But I also love spending time with my family, going to the movies, or dinner. Every athlete has their own characteristics.”

Ronaldo played for top clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus before moving to Saudi Arabia last year.
